Shared Wisdom (April 11, 2012)

© Lloyd Pollard 2012

WORDS THAT CAME TO SPIRIT THIS WEEK:

A man is not a man when you know him as a man.
What you know is what you don't know.
When you think you know the simplest thing is when that thing's complexity has escaped you.
I can feel you and that is the most accurate thing. Feeling, not knowing.

AFTERTHOUGHT:
I do not need to know you. Being aware of you is the greater gift of energy, respect and love.

What Do You Want To Be?

Know yourself
Express yourself
Trust yourself and
Be yourself.
Don't explain yourself.

I am not to be explained but experienced.
I am not to be known but felt.
I am not potential but possibility realized.
I am alive.

Bookmark#2 - Me & You

There’s a heart for every heart
A silence for every sound
A love for every hate.

There’s a sunshine for every rain
A joy for every pain
A me for every you.

Don’t expect anything
Just accept everything.

I love you.

YOU

If it doesn’t happen inside of you
It won't happen outside of you.

What is in you will always
come out of you.

The amount of energy and life
it costs you to contain, hold back
and dress up what you are inside
is measured by your peace of mind,
happiness and health.

Work in, then workout.

The Ancient Trinity

"God, Ancestor and Man"
© Lloyd Pollard
Paint on Paper
Previously Unpublished.
First Blog Publication.

Within the beautiful abstract adventure that is our mortal lives, walks our ancestors. In every way and day, they offer us guidance and wisdom even as they speak to God on our behalf.

This ancient transaction is what must be acknowledged and maintained if we are to have inner peace and not lose our bond with the blessings of our past.

Do not be overwhelmed by the joy of the present and the hope of the future without the sobriety of the past.

Live long in laughter and love.

The Ancients not only walked before us, but they walk within us.
Their wisdom is our intuition.
Their love is our desire to be our best.

Africa will always find its children, no matter how many generations afar they are from her earthly womb.
No matter how contemporary they become.

A Collaboration: Don't Explain

"Don't Explain"
© Deb Brown

Hush now, you don't have to explain.

There is little to gain in this rain of pain.

Please, I am still yours.

It doesn't matter when you are with me - right or wrong.

Tears and chatter don't matter.

I'm glad you're back.

You don't have to explain.

About This Collaboration:
Debo is one of those great expressive spirits that, depending on their form of expression (singer, dancer, painter, writer, etc.), we call an artist. She radiates and symbolizes an original energy. You know what they say about original things? They only come around only once, so enjoy them. So I hope you enjoy Debo and her visual energy as much as I do.

Stuff Spiritual People Love (#5): The Divine Hand of God...

"The Divine" © Lloyd Pollard

Ink, Acrylic & Pastel on Paper

It is an ancient understanding that man sought the divine essence, will and energy of God through the reverence and worship of their ancestors, who intercede on their behalf at the feet of God.

How we treat our ancestors and elders dictates how the Divine will treat us.

Passion of a spiritual kind moves
Beyond a breath
Beyond a fire
Beyond a joy
Beyond a desire.

Let not your love be troubled
Nor your hope be afraid.
Seek in the spirit and you shall find ancestral aid.
